Michael Jackson
I didn't follow the media circus, as the story was of little importance to me, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed by the lynch-mob mentality displayed by many conservatives after Michael Jackson's aquittal.
Joseph Sobran is one conservative who, like me, was "relieved that he wasn't convicted": The Acquittal.
Sure, Jacko, and O.J before him, may well have been guilty, but the jury wasn't convinced. That's our legal system; imperfect as it is, I can think of none better.
As Sir William Blackstone stated, "It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer."

Redeemed by Our Savior, I work out my salvation with fear and trembling in Pohang, South Korea, where I live with my wife, daughter, and son and teach English at a science and technology university. Baptized a Methodist and raised a Missouri Synod Lutheran in Buffalo, NY, I spent six years as a guest of the Anglican Communion before being received by the Grace of God into the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church on the Feast of Saint Andrew, my patron, anno domini 2002.
