The Death of a Peacemaker
Requiescat in pace: U.S. Hostage Tom Fox Killed in Iraq.
Mr. Fox and the three other kidnapped Christian Peacemaker activists were well-intentioned, but perhaps naïve. It seems Mr. Fox heeded only the latter part of Our Lord's advice to the apostles from the Gospel According to Saint Matthew Chapter 10:

- Behold I send you as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and simple as doves.
- Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called children of God.
Redeemed by Our Savior, I work out my salvation with fear and trembling in Pohang, South Korea, where I live with my wife, daughter, and son and teach English at a science and technology university. Baptized a Methodist and raised a Missouri Synod Lutheran in Buffalo, NY, I spent six years as a guest of the Anglican Communion before being received by the Grace of God into the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church on the Feast of Saint Andrew, my patron, anno domini 2002.
